What does a performing arts technician do with us?

As a performing arts technician, you will be involved in the execution of one or more of Parkteatern's productions during the summer. The planning of the work is done in consultation with the stage master and Parkteatern's stage manager. Work will take place both during the day and in the evening, as well as on weekends. You will be part of a team and responsible for ensuring that the team takes overall responsibility for Parkteatern's operations. This means that everyone must be able to support each other and pitch in. The work takes place outdoors in all weather conditions. Therefore, keep in mind that there may be various lifts and that the work shift can become dirty, heavy, and may need to be carried out in rubber boots.

Responsibilities:

Move, build, and dismantle stage decorations

Assist with changes of decor or other fittings during performances, e.g., props and costumes

Perform tasks related to lighting, e.g., moving and directing light towers

Ensure that cables are laid and that there is power supply to the stage

Check toilets and, if necessary, call the supplier or address issues on site

Monitor the performance area

We are looking for someone who:

Has theater experience and preferably tour experience

Technical education or equivalent experience

Tour experience, especially from Parkteatern, B and/or C driver's license, forklift license, workshop skills (carpentry, basic metalworking, etc.), and documented experience in CPR are advantageous.
